We come to your school to teach music. Not only that, we bring musical instruments and accessories for the students, so schools don’t have to invest in expensive instruments. Moreover, students also don’t have to carry their ‘heavy instruments’ to school.
Music education benefits students by increasing self-expression, cognitive abilities, language development, and agility. It is also unique in its ability to affect more than a single brain hemisphere, incorporating both the right and left sides of the brain. More than any other workout, disciplined and structured practice in music strengthens the brain functions thereby allowing them to apply the same strength in other pursuits.
Sadly, music education has been sidelined in our system due to various reasons such as,
1. Lack of awareness about the importance of music education and its benefits
2. Lack of quality music institutions and teachers
3. Distance for music lessons
In order to ensure the highest quality of teaching, our faculties undergo training with us in order to understand child psychology, behavior and their needs in order to effectively communicate with them. We believe that a strong teacher‐student relationship is key to the students’ interest as well as their progress in class.
As educators ourselves, having worked in various schools, we bring a combined experience of over ten years in the music education field. We have also consistently produced excellent results amongst students taking ABRSM, LCM and Trinity Exams year after year. We have carefully designed a program that would specifically suit students of all age groups and skill levels.
Prashanth Chidambaram is a versatile teacher and pianist. He has completed his ATCL Diploma in Piano Performance and had been a faculty at the Lyra School of Music. Besides this he has also performed extensively at venues such as the NCPA at Mumbai, Egmore Museum Theatre and Alliance Française at Mumbai. He was a semi-finalist at the Con Brio National Piano Competition in 2012. He has attended master-classes by Paul Stewart and Karl Lutchmayer. His repertoire includes works by Brahms, Beethoven, Mozart, Bach and Chopin.
Mohammad Rafi Rahimansa has a teaching experience of over ten years with schools such as the Calcutta International School, Lyra School of Music and the PMA Music School. He is also the founder of PAVO School of Music and the Co-Founder of the Classical Guitar Foundation, Kolkata. He has attended various master-classes, notably from David Russell, Zoran Dukic and Pavel Steidl. He was adjudged the Winner of the Biplav Singh Guitar Concert. His repertoire spans works by Bach, Villa Lobos and Tarrega.
Our Programs are affiliated to the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) and Trinity College London (TCL). Our syllabus covers a range of topics focusing on concepts like Aural Training and Musicianship, Sight Reading and Sight Singing Exercises, Technical Exercises and TCL/ABRSM syllabus.
Our syllabus is structured such that the student is exposed to a gradual progression in various musical exercises both technical and aural. Our courses cover students from the age of three all the way up to thirteen. We work with schools, play schools and day care centers designing a music curriculum according to their requirements as well as carrying out after-school activities in their respective centers.
ABRSM is the UK’s largest music education body, one of its largest music publishers and the world’s leading provider of music exams, offering assessments to more than 630,000 candidates in 93 countries every year. ABRSM’s mission is to inspire achievement in music. In partnership with the Royal Schools of Music, they support high-quality music-making and learning around the world. They offer pathways and resources for learners and teachers that help build musical skills, provide goals and encourage progress.
Trinity College London is an international exam board with a rich heritage of academic rigor and a positive, supportive approach to assessment. They provide recognized and respected qualifications across a unique spectrum of communicative skills — from music, drama and arts activities to English language — at all levels.
Trinity exams and assessments are specifically designed to help students progress. They inspire learners and mark their achievement at each stage of their development and at all levels of competence. They also encourage candidates to bring their own choices and interests into our exams — this motivates students and makes the assessment more relevant and enjoyable.
At the heart of Trinity’s work is the support they provide for teachers, both in terms of specific support for teachers preparing candidates for their exams, and more general teacher development. Their work with teachers is supported by a growing international network of relationships with key education institutions. This ensures that their teachers have access to the best professional development available.
